Confidence in Christ

At a certain point last year, the Lord had me in specific places each morning during a week in my devotions. The study time was blessed, and I felt rejuvenated and helped by the Word. As I came to the end of the week, I realized something special: there was a common theme woven throughout the entire week of rhema passages -confidence.  

Sunday: "Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows." Matthew 10:29-31

I can walk in confidence because I am of value to God, and He knows the steps that I take.

Monday: "I am the rose of Sharon, and the lily of the valleys. As the lily among thorns, so is my love among the daughters. As the apple tree among the trees of the wood, so is my beloved among the sons. I sat down under his shadow with great delight, and his fruit was sweet to my taste. He brought me to the banqueting house, and his banner over me was love." Song of Solomon 2:1-4

I can walk in confidence with Christ as my Shadow, covering, satisfying, resting, and protecting me.

Tuesday: "Now unto Him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy..." Jude 24

I can walk in confidence because Christ is able to keep me from falling and hold me secure in the Father. 

Wednesday: "Who by Him do believe in God, that raised Him up from the dead, and gave Him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God." 1 Peter 1:21

I can walk in confidence that because of Jesus Christ, my faith and hope can be securely rooted in Him, in God.

Thursday: "To whom coming, as unto a living stone, disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of God, and precious, ye also, as living stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ...But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of Him who hath called you out of darkness into His marvelous light..." 1 Peter 2: 4-5, 9

I can walk in confidence that I am beautiful, desired, and valuable before my Lord and Father.

"...if we hold fast the confidence and rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end." Hebrews 3:6b
