Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Madeline Smith, I am 27 years old, and live on a beef cattle farm in southern Kentucky. I work full-time in the daily operations of our home, everything from grocery shopping to cleaning the showers, and making dinners. I also serve as the event coordinator for a pro-life ministry called Speak for the Unborn.
I have wonderful parents, who love me faithfully and who are my biggest fans.
I am the second oldest of 8 children, and we have a blast together! My older sister Emma is married to my wonderful brother-in-law, Stephen. They are parents to James, Caleb and Baby #3 (due in 2026)! Caden, my "little" brother (even though he has far surpassed me in height), graduated from EMT training in 2021 and is currently at Bible College in North Carolina. Olivia graduated from high school in 2022, is a graceful listener, and is very compassionate with the elderly. Besides making me laugh, Hope is a diligent worker on the farm and she makes some amazing sourdough bread. Ella is another faithful farm crew member, gives amazing backrubs, and is truly gifted in her knowledge of history. Our Leah, always ready to give a hug, is our family pianist and diligent farmworker. Joel is the youngest, though looking to pass us all in height. He is a hard farmworker, has become a skilled construction builder, and he loves a good game of football!
I love cattle. Having grown up around cattle my whole life, it is no wonder they are such an important part of me, and often my schedule has included farm chores. You can occasionally find me visiting "my" cow, Belle, who is my favorite and always will be. She and I are inseparable and I have told her that the man that gets me gets her too! She is excellent for good hugs or if you want to be all slobbered up by her "kisses".
My Belle (2018)
1. To share lessons that the Lord has been teaching me and to encourage other young women who desire to follow Jesus with all their hearts.
2. To edify and encourage other young women that they are not alone in that pursuit to serve Jesus wholeheartedly.
3. To give family updates on the daily activities that keep a large farming family busy.
May He alone be glorified!

Madeline's blog has been such a blessing to me! Setting an encouraging example of a godly woman, living the life that God has set for her.
